Oh baby Kate,

You're not such a baby anymore. You're talking away and saying many things. Whenever you see Jaden and Easton you say "Hi DEDE, HI EE" It's darling. You love to say "Yay". And when I ask you for a kiss on the lips you do it. And sometimes you shake your head and say "No".   You love to say "Let's go" And when we say "Let me see your sour face" you do the cutest little face. You squint your eyes and pucker your lips.  It's so cute. And when we pull into our driveway you say "Home".  When we go to the mall you love going up and down the escalator with your PaPa. All you have to do is sign please and papa takes you right back up. You're just so darling I can't stand it.

At the beginning of January, we stopped on our way home from Flagstaff at the Dairy Queen. We got you your very own ice cream cone and you loved it. Your Dad and I just sat back and watched you go to town on it. You had it everywhere and barely let us wipe your mouth. But you did give daddy one bite. It was hilarious.

Oh baby this month was monumental. You walked. That's right you walked. January 22nd you took 4 steps toward Aunty Hay Hay, Grandma and Dad. On January 26th, you took 4 steps all by yourself. You let go of the wall and off you went. You balanced in the squat position and stood up and looked at your mom and dad and grinned like you had been doing it for months. And on January 28th that was it. You took off all by yourself and never looked back. Crawling is in the past and now walking is all you want to do. My baby is walking and even though I was thrilled to see this new accomplishment, I secretly wanted to push you down! Ha Ha!!

You love yo go to Costco and ride around in the cart. You wave and say Hi to everyone you see. I love it and so do the strangers. They smile and say hi back and then smile and say she sure is cute. And of course we know.

Oh baby, like your mother you love a good slurpee. We only fill it up half way and you go to town on it for about 5 minutes and then you're finished. But you love every second of it. You get a little brain freeze and use the scoop on the end of the straw. You're just so smart.

You love to eat many things. You love edemame, pears, oranges, peaches, pb&j, String cheese, grapes and lots of other things. You love to climb on things, and even under things. You love to draw in the tub, and take baths and play. And you love your daddy and your mommy.

Baby we just love you and have loved seeing you progress in many different ways. We think you're so cute and love you so very much. You brighten our days, and enrich our lives. We couldn't have asked for a better baby, and for that we are eternally grateful for.
